By meditating on the scriptures, we have the ability to heal many of life’s issues. Mental health can be found in the scriptures, healing from emotional wounds and also healing childhood traumas.
As with other things promised in the word, this only happens when we apply ourselves to the instructions of God. Meditating on the scriptures is a discipline and through constant application we can see the changes.
Most other forms of meditation involves emptying your mind. The truth is as a Christian this does not work because we have to be full of God’s word in order to be equipped to fight the enemy. We shouldn’t be emptying our minds but rather filling our minds with God’s truth.
Finding scriptures or bible verses to meditate on is very simple, with a quick internet search you can find a list of verses that will be able to help you.
For example, bible verses for addition, bible verses for fear, bible verses for protection. You can do a search for any issue and this will give you a list to meditate on. I have found the meditating on God’s love brings the greatest depth of healing and helps to fill us with His love so that we can pour it on others.
