Prayer Series: The Lord's Prayer- Part 2
This is Part 2 of the Lord’s Prayer. In this class we look at Luke 11:2-3 and break down practical steps and tips to getting our prayers answered.
This prayer is the prayer that Jesus taught to the disciples, and it is a model prayer or a template that should be used for a successful prayer life or to get our prayers answered.
The Lord’s Prayer as outlined in Luke 11:1-4
Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.”
2 So He said to them, “When you pray, say:
Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins,
For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.”
While it is OK to pray this prayer “as is” we shouldn’t do that without examining the components of the prayer. This course will explain each piece and help you to write your own prayer using this model.
